Rank zero

In a world where humans are measured by mana crystals and demons are ranked from F to SSS beneath the supreme Demon King, eighteen-year-old Noah was raised by the priest Aldus. Lacking visible magical talent, he was accepted into the prestigious Aldmere Royal Academy purely through his exceptional intellect. During the power-measuring ceremony, Noah's mana crystal glowed unusually bright, flashing a brief purple crack before suddenly dying out—leaving behind a score of "Rank 0." The entire assembly mocked him as a powerlessly broken student. Only Sera, the elite S-rank student council president, caught that fleeting purple spark. Everything changed that night when Noah heard a scream in the forest and found an old man hunted by an A-rank demon wolf. Knowing he was outmatched, Noah intervened anyway, sacrificing his life to save the stranger. In the abyssal darkness after death, he met Morwen, a demon sorcerer sealed for 300 years, who revealed the ultimate truth: "The condition for your awakening... is death." Noah opened his eyes once more, his hair turning silver-white and purple rings forming in his gaze. He had awakened the Abyss Seal—a dark power that manifests as purple-black chains to bind, conquer, and absorb demonic mana directly into his own soul, growing stronger with every victim. By day, he remains the scorned "Zero" at the academy. By night, he dons a dark hood to hunt demons in the shadows while evading the Church's pursuit—all leading toward the fateful day when the seal on the Demon King finally shatters.
