How to delete your Yelzi account in the app, what is deleted and when, and how to restore the account within 30 days.
Delete your account in the app
You can delete your Yelzi account and its data yourself at any time in the Yelzi app on iOS or Android:
- Open the Yelzi app and use the account owner's profile
- Go to the Me tab › Account and devices
- Tap Delete account and read what will happen
- Type DELETE in the confirmation box, then tap Delete account
- Confirm it is you with your Google account once more
- The account closes at once and the app shows the date it will be deleted for good
What is deleted
On the deletion date we delete all of the following:
- The account and its Google link: email, name and Google account id
- Every profile, kids profiles included, with their PINs and settings
- Favourite genres, My List, continue watching and watch history
- All signed-in devices and sessions
- The account's daily activity records
When it is deleted
The account closes the moment you confirm: every device is signed out and nobody can use the account. It is then deleted for good 30 days later; the system checks for accounts due for deletion every hour.
Restore within 30 days
Changed your mind? Sign in with the same Google account before the deletion date. The app asks whether to restore the account: tap Restore account and everything comes back as it was. After the deletion date the account cannot be restored.
What we keep
After the account is deleted for good, all that remains is:
- The account id and the time of deletion, so we can confirm it was deleted
- Ad records linked to a pseudonymous device id (not to your account), which expire on their own within 13 months
- Usage events that are no longer linked to the account

If you have no account
A guest who never signed in has no account to delete. Watching data is tied to that app install, not to your name or email. Delete the app (or yelzi.com's cookies on the web) to start afresh.
Can't open the app?
If you cannot get into the app (for example, a lost phone), email privacy@yelzi.com from the email address of the Google account you use with Yelzi. We will confirm it is you and delete the account within 30 days.
